Ivan Stoilkovic: Respect for diversity – a cornerstone of an inclusive society

On the occasion of May 21 – World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, I extend my sincere greetings to all citizens, with the message that respecting and promoting cultural diversity represents the foundation of a progressive and inclusive society.

This day serves as a reminder that diverse cultural expressions, languages, and traditions are not barriers, but values that enrich our society and strengthen mutual trust and understanding. Building an open and democratic society requires continuous support for dialogue, equal opportunities, and respect for every individual.

At a time of global challenges, it is particularly important to continue fostering cooperation, solidarity, and mutual respect as key drivers of sustainable development and social cohesion. Cultural diversity encourages creativity and innovation, while also contributing to stability and peace.

Let May 21 serve as an additional motivation for united efforts toward advancing the principles of equality, inclusion, and respect for diversity as the foundation of a stronger and more united society, stated the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and Minister for Inter-Community Relations, Mr. Ivan Stoilkovic.
