Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Stoilkovic held a working meeting with his Serbian counterpart, Tatjana Macura
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and Minister for Inter-Community Relations, Mr. Ivan Stoilkovic, today held a working meeting with Ms. Tatjana Macura, Minister without Portfolio in charge of gender equality, prevention of violence against women, and the economic and political empowerment of women in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
At the meeting, a shared commitment was expressed to deepen cooperation between the two countries, with special emphasis on the areas that unite us in the field of gender equality, the protection of women from violence, and the advancement of women’s economic and political participation, as well as on strengthening institutional dialogue on these issues.

The interlocutors discussed the importance of integrating a gender perspective into policies related to communities, bearing in mind the need for equal access to rights, services, and opportunities for all citizens, including women from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds. Special attention was given to the economic empowerment of women as a prerequisite for their greater social inclusion and the reduction of vulnerability.

In that regard, the possibilities for further cooperation were discussed through the exchange of experiences and good practices, expert communication between the competent institutions, and the initiation of joint activities within the framework of regional initiatives.

The meeting was assessed as constructive, with a clear readiness expressed for regular communication and concrete steps toward strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest.
