On the occasion of the Easter Fast, I extend my sincere wishes to all believers who are beginning this sacred and significant spiritual period. May their days be filled with pure thoughts, good health, and spiritual peace.

Fasting is not only abstinence, but also a path toward inner purification, humility, and the strengthening of personal perseverance. It is precisely perseverance in thought and action that reflects spiritual maturity and the aspiration for peace—peace within oneself, and peace with others. A peace that begins in the heart and extends to the family, the community, and society as a whole. In these days, we are reminded that pure thought, patience, and humanity are the strongest foundations of every healthy and united society.
