The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and Minister for Inter-Community Relations, Mr. Ivan Stoilkovic, held a working meeting today with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the country, Ms. Rita Columbia.

The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, during which opinions were exchanged on a range of current topics, with a focus on political and economic challenges, as well as the advancement of interethnic relations in the country. Deputy Prime Minister Stoilkovic emphasized the importance of the longstanding support from the United Nations and expressed gratitude for their contribution to the country’s development and integration processes.

The interlocutors also discussed the ongoing activities and projects being implemented with the support of UN agencies, emphasizing the excellent institutional cooperation at all levels and across various sectors.

At the end of the meeting, a shared commitment was expressed to continue and deepen the cooperation in order to promote sustainable development, inclusion, and stability in the country.
