Stoilkovik met with Grigoryan, the Resident Representative of UNDP in Skopje
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and Minister for Inter-Community Relations, Mr. Ivan Stoilkovik, held a working meeting with a delegation from the UNDP office in Skopje, led by the UNDP Resident Representative in North Macedonia, Armen Grigoryan.
The meeting focused on several current topics, with an emphasis on the importance of deepened cooperation between the Ministry for Inter-Community Relations and UNDP in promoting trust among communities in the Western Balkans. Special attention was given to enhancing digital literacy among members of communities in North Macedonia, as well as increasing their involvement through public services in their mother tongue. Additionally, the development of a strategy for celebrating the Day of Cultural Diversity (May 21) was initiated, based on global best practices, with the aim of ensuring its successful implementation in the national context.

Both parties agreed that the cooperation between the Ministry for Inter-Community Relations and UNDP is a key element in efforts to build and strengthen trust among different communities. Through joint activities and projects, especially within the framework of the initiative ‘EU Support for Building Trust in the Western Balkans,’ conditions are being created for inclusivity, mutual understanding, and respect for diversity, which form the foundation for a stable and sustainable society. This cooperation also contributes to the advancement of digital literacy and media representation of minority communities, strengthening their role and voice in society.
