Meeting of Deputy Minister Mustafa with the Head of the Monitoring Department at the OSCE Mission

The Deputy Minister for Inter-Community Relations, Nezhdet Mustafa, and the Head of the Monitoring Department at the OSCE Mission in Skopje, Eben Friedman, held a meeting where they exchanged ideas, initiatives, and strategies for improving interethnic relations and enhancing coexistence in Macedonia.

The points discussed were the current challenges the country faces in the processes of reforming the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as the importance of joint efforts between the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the OSCE in the context of democratic values, the rule of law, and the integration of different ethnic communities.

Mr. Friedman reaffirmed the OSCE’s support for the continued strengthening of democratic processes in the country, particularly in the areas of education, the rule of law, media freedom, and enhancing the capacities of institutions working on the integration of different communities. The meeting was yet another confirmation of the strong commitment of the OSCE and the Macedonian authorities to creating a society based on equality, coexistence, and mutual understanding. Both sides expressed expectations for the continuation of successful cooperation and the advancement of reforms that will lead to a stable and prosperous future for the country.
