Stoilkovic held a working meeting with Bejzaroski from the Commision for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination (CPPD)

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and Minister for Inter-Community Relations, Ivan Stoilkovic, today held a working meeting with a delegation from the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination, led by Limko Bejzaroski, its president.

During the meeting, opinions and views were exchanged on several topics, with a focus on the promotion of human rights in society, gaining credibility, and the importance of impartiality and equal treatment of all people, regardless of religion, nationality, or ethnic affiliation.

Both interlocutors highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two institutions, as well as the fact that it is crucial to stay on the current path. All citizens should feel equal, and the country should continue to serve as an example of how different ethnic communities live together, continuing to nurture an atmosphere of coexistence and a shared commitment to move forward together.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed that, in addition to continuing to nurture cooperation between the two institutions, the vision of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination—as an impetus of positive change for substantive equality, the promotion of human rights, and the elimination of all forms of discrimination, which enjoys great trust among citizens—should remain a shared goal.
