Call for Submissions of Works Written in the Student’s Mother Tongue
In anticipation of February 21 – International Mother Language Day, the Ministry for Inter-Community Relations, the Directorate for the Development and Improvement of Education in the Languages of Community Members, and the Directorate for the Affirmation and Promotion of Culture of Community Members, are announcing a call for submissions of works (poetry-prose) written in the student’s mother tongue.
Students from grades six to nine have the right to participate. The works should be written in the student’s mother tongue, regardless of whether it is represented in the regular curriculum at the school.
The topics of the works are to be chosen freely by the student, but they must not contain discriminatory elements towards members of other communities, their language, or religion (works containing such elements will not be considered).
The works must be submitted in an envelope, marked – Call for Works in the Mother Tongue, to the archive of the Ministry for Inter-Community Relations no later than February 14, 2025, or via email to [email protected], and should not have been previously published.
The envelope should include the student’s full name, the teacher’s full name, their phone number, as well as the name of the school and the municipality.
The best works written in the mother tongue (Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, Romani, Serbian, Bosnian, Vlach, and/or other languages) will be awarded by the Ministry for Inter-Community Relations.
We look forward to receiving your works!
